Application based on Previous qualifications:

If you are applying based on your previous qualifications, you will usually have achieved a minimum of 90 credits from a Level 3 qualification such as A Levels or BTECs

Mature learner 21+:

If you are applying as a mature learner (aged 21+) and do not have the above qualifications, you can apply via our assessment based entry and we will consider your prior experiences (work, voluntary, life and other experiences) that are relevant to the course.

You will be required to complete the following:

• 1. Provide a Personal Statement
• 2. English Language Test (with a minimum 60% score, equivalent to IELTS 5.5)
• 3. Maths Test (Score 50%)
• 4. Complete a SAPE Assessment (Screening for Accreditation of Prior Experience)
• 5. Applicants will also be invited to attend an Interview

A range of summative assessment tasks will be used to test the Intended Learning Outcomes in each module.These are indicated in the attached assessment map which shows which tasks are used in which modules.

Students will be supported in their development towards summative assessment by appropriate formative exercises in each module.

After graduating from this Business and Management degree, you will be well prepared for a career in Business and Management, with both theoretical and practical knowledge that can be applied in any industry worldwide.

Careers in management typically involve recruitment, training and organisation of staff, ensuring company standards are met, making strategic decisions that affect your department or the company as a whole, maintaining awareness of competitors and the macro environment, and communicating with business stakeholders such as customers, investors and staff.

You may also be required to manage and oversee projects within your career. This degree will provide you with a sound knowledge of business concepts, enabling you to:

This course is offered as a four-year programme, including an initial Foundation Year.  The Foundation Year will enable you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree.  Employers want graduates who are not just academically qualified, but are also work-ready with professional skills in management and leadership. You will be assessed through written assignments, examinations and presentations. You will be assessed via coursework, written exams including time constrained assessments and practical exams.  The assessment strategy is underpinned by the course learning outcomes. The assessment methods will vary according to your route linked to the destination Masters you have chosen. Each assessment will be looking for evidence that you have achieved the specific learning outcomes of the module and the broader learning outcomes of the course.The assignments are provided by the awarding body.
