A traineeship is an extended work placement programme lasting a minimum of 8 weeks, including a work placement. It is an exciting stepping stone helping a young person to get a head start for their future career.
Traineeships help young people aged 16-24 in England and aged 16-19 in Wales, get the appropriate skills or experience needed to get ready for an apprenticeship or job. The programme will:
*Provide a high-quality work placement of a minimum of 70 hours with an employer
*Build confidence and employability
*Support the trainee with maths, English and digital skills
*Develop your CV writing and interview techniques
*Gain industry specific knowledge, skills and behaviours
